Video entry of trundlers Alex and Amms training for the beaches of North Queensland. Proof that our favourite Asics running shoes really do go everywhere!
This is an example of the type of editing, and post production that will be used in the making of The Trundlers XPD expedition.

Julien 'trundle' definition
To trundle (verb) origin from NZ which means to get to the top of a mountain or big cliff and find the biggest rock you are capapble of carrying. It can be an individual event or team (bigger rocks). Walk to the edge and throw rock down cliff and watch it. Timing the fall is optional but it will provide an estimate of the cliff ... See Moreheight. NZ mountaineering guides are regarded as expert at this sport. Although it contradict any previous climbing ethics, it promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and provides a good laugh. It also provides a good indication of where your climbing partner's body will end up if she or he comes off the climb.
Happy trundling!!!

Trundlers blitz the Max 24hr
After their first DNF the Trundlers were keen to make a mark in this years 24hr MaxAdventure race. Last year, 2007, saw the Trundlers Amms and Alex take out 4th place in the premier mixed, only narrowly missing out on the podium due to their generosity in helping a team with lost maps around the final trek leg!
In 2008, the race was held again on the Central Coast. On the toughest course to date the Trundlers did not dissappoint.
The Trundlers entered as 2 teams. Alex and Ann-Marie in the mixed and Rob and Julien in the Male Categories. After 18hrs of hard fought racing the final coasteer leg splits the teams. Julien and Rob race home to finish 2nd in the male category (only being beaten by the world class Blackheart team) while Alex and Ann-Marie miss the final CP and come home 3rd in the premier mixed after the time penalty.

New Zealand 2007 - The Trundlers Meet
The would be Trundlers meet on the TMC 'Technical Mountaineering Course' in the Southern Alps in New Zealand. We all share a passion for adventure racing and agree to meet in Sydney to race. The concept of Trundling is demonstrated by our NZ mountain guide on the loose rocky ridge above the Kelman Hut. Large rocks are lifted to the precipitous edge and dropped. The progress of the rock as it crashes down to the valley below is then admired. It is a dangerous pursuit best left to professional NZ mountain guides !
Back in Sydney, Alex, Ann-Marie, Rob, Julien and Dave join forces to compete in the AROC and MaxAdventure sprint races and The Trundlers are formed.
